People are always leaving searching for a sense of belonging. It took me years of putting up with all sorts of facades to realize that I don’t belong anywhere at all. This feeling, this solitude, some may view it as emptiness, but such is the path of a swordsman, and a scholar.

Sometimes I wonder who I could have been in a previous life. It would be interesting beyond words to know.

When you get to know a person past their outward looks, and stare deep into their eyes and get to know them as they exist, as a soul, I believe that is what it means to truly know someone.

With this in mind, it is very easy to detect other powerful souls who have been constantly building toward the growth of their consciousness. It feels almost as if your soul instantly feels a connection and starts tugging you towards them.

I remember exactly how this year started. For me to have come to where I am today consciously, I cannot imagine where the next year will take me. I suppose that’s what makes life what it is. This coming year is the onset to a new era in all of our lives. Everything past this point I suppose could be considered irrelevant. Never forget on the other hand however, that our experiences are what makes us who we are.

At the end of the day, money is really nothing, and time is just an illusion.

If this is the case, then why do many men strive to acquire funds to make their own lives more comfortable? Well, basically it just provides a sense of fulfillment toward a bottomless pit that some people cannot see quite well enough to climb out of.

The real things that actually matter are… love, honor, truth, compassion, kindness, generosity (you get the idea)

And you know why? You can’t buy any of these things. They are not physical possessions, but human emotions that cannot be simply measured.

Now some people, foolishly blinded by their desires, may view these emotions and qualities as physically attainable things. In the end, this is why the man that has everything, may not ever truly be as happy as the man that has nothing. Now ask yourself, without love or kindness, do you really have anything?

Many will travel down this road only to figure out that the end of it all holds a bunch of numbers in a computer that people think they have to have a lot of to prove they’re better than everyone else in society.

With this in mind, you can really see how easy it really is to change the world. If I ever do make it, I would do my best to ensure that I am making someone else’s life, who was not as fortunate as me to come to this reality, everything they had ever previously dreamed of.

Unlike the beautiful 6-year old Jonbenett Ramsey who received coverage all over the media - every tabloid, newspaper, news channel, talk show, 7-year old Aiyana Stanley was killed by a police officer during a raid while she was sleep and her murder received very little coverage.
Police, searching for a murder suspect, threw a flash grenade through the window of her family’s apartment around midnight. According to Aiyana’s father, it landed on the couch, setting Aiyana on fire. A police officer’s gun then went off, and shot Aiyana in the neck.
Aiyana was asleep on the living room sofa in her family’s apartment when Detroit police, searching for a homicide suspect, burst in and an officer’s gun went off, fatally striking the girl in the neck, family members said.
Her father, 25-year-old Charles Jones, told The Detroit News he had just gone to bed early Sunday after covering his daughter with her favorite blanket when he heard a flash grenade followed by a gunshot. When he rushed into the living room, he said, police forced him to lie on the ground, with his face in his daughter’s blood.
“I’ll never be the same. That’s my only daughter,” Jones told.
We haven’t forgotten about you baby. R.I.P.

People should think and act for themselves, rather than be told what to think and believe. Regardless, our society is going downhill. It pains me to see our generation concerned with trivial matters rather than the real global issues at hand.
